Another Friday, another game. The kids came in excited to get going and give there all. The game this week was going to be more of a challenge as Yateley always turn out very well organised and strong teams.
Our aim this week was to mainly concentrate on defence. Marc, Jake, Rose and Lorenzo were all so hot on this. They all at some point through the game managed to block the other team from getting a basket. Ieuan was always ready to steal the ball off the other team and fast break back down the court. James and Natasha managed to catch some great offensive rebounds, and then score some points straight back! Jack was blocking passes and getting some really good passes to his team mates. Just as we are counting down the final seconds, Ike decided to just go for it and put up a 3 point shot from just over the halfway line and banked it home on the buzzer, a great ending despite not being able to take the win. The score didn’t do us justice but the kids went out there playing so well and they all played so well as a team. One proud coach!
