A depleted squad of just 6 players was going to be in for a tough night against an always very well organised and competitive Yateley Silverbacks. Huge well done to Ieuan who straight from his U12 game stayed behind to give us some much-needed respite at times - giving away a 4 year age gap he held his own superbly even trying his luck from 3 point range. We started fairly strong and managed to build a 5 point lead during the first half with Joe running things at both ends of the court for us and James as usual causing a nuisance grabbing rebounds and keeping the ball alive for us. Baskets weren't dropping as easy for us as they have in the last couple of weeks but Issac stayed strong making both of his foul shots and grabbing some big rebounds leaving Emma and Zak to try and stretch Yateley as much as possible. Becca found her range from the 3 point line to keep us within touching distance as we entered the 4th quarter but we ultimately ran out of steam as the Silverbacks ability to keep putting fresh legs into the game told. An unanswered 8 point run towards the end of the 4th takes the 14s to 1 - 1 in the summer CVL with 2 games to go.
